When working with data in Google Sheets, you will often have a need to insert one of the rows in between the existing rows (or at the top or bottom of the dataset). Inserting rows in Google Sheets is a very easy way and only takes a couple of steps. But in case you want to insert multiple rows many times in different places, you need to follow a few clicks to get the number of rows you want.
Steps for adding rows in Google Sheets
1. On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets associated with your document.
2. Highlight the row to be added or cells you want to add
3. Click insert then select ‘Row above’ or ‘Row below’
Row Above; the new row will be inserted above the selected row as shown bellow
Row Below; the new row will be inserted below your selected row
